The European Access Network (EAN) invites you to its 23rd annual conference: “Hidden Potential or Hollow Promise? Can Technologies Deliver Wider Access and Success in Higher Education?”

EAN will hold its annual conference: “Hidden Potential or Hollow Promise? Can Technologies Deliver Wider Access and Success in Higher Education?” on 2-4 June at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. The Compostela Group of Universities' members are invited to attend at a reduced fee.

Higher Education is changing, with the development and application of new technologies driving much of this change. For those concerned with achieving wider access and success a key concern is whether these changes can help or hinder the efforts that are being made. Can innovation accelerate progress, or will it have no effect or even worse, negative impacts? At this conference participants will learn about the technologies that are changing higher education now and will do in the near future. What we know already about the effects and impacts of these changes will be presented as well as the most effective ways to use technological innovation to widen access. Besides, another topic will be the development of institutional and governmental policies to support the kind of changes pursued.

The deadline for proposals is already closed, but if you would like to submit your paper for the conference, the EAN team will be happy to give it late consideration.
