International Seminar Camino de Santiago and Europe

 

The Chair of Camino de Santiago and Pilgrimage of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) organizes, in collaboration with the Compostela Group of Universities, the International Seminar Camino de Santiago and Europe. This academic activity will be held at Santiago de Compostela between 23th and 25th October.


The international seminar is part of the programme of activities designed by the Xunta de Galicia to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Declaration of Santiago de Compostela, which designated the Camino de Santiago as the first cultural route of the Council of Europe.


This interdisciplinary and international activity is aimed at people interested in the topics of the seminar.  The participants will attend lectures and take part in debates about the legal, social and cultural aspects of the Camino a Santiago and Europe.

Registration and scholarships


The number of places is limited to 40 and they will be allocated on ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. Registration for this seminar is free of charge.

The organization of the International Seminar Camino de Santiago and Europe offers 12 scholarships to cover accommodation and meals for participants who wish to take part in this academic activity. Scholarships will also be allocated on a 'first-come, first-served basis'. The deadline for submitting applications is 10th October 2017.
