CGU invites its member universities to submit nominations for the XXIII International Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia

The Compostela Group of Universities launches today the annual call of the International Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia and invites its member universities to present nominations to the award, for which they have until 15th March 2019.

In addition to the member universities of the CGU, the Xunta de Galicia, the official European institutions and the members of the jury can submit nominations.

Since its creation in 1997, the International Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia recognises outstanding people and institutions in their international careers for their contribution to the preservation of European cultural heritage and to the development of the European values of cooperation and integration, built around the Camino de Santiago.

As every year, the awarding ceremony will take place within the framework of the General Assembly of the Compostela Group of Universities, which this year will be held in June at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico).

The awardee will receive a golden shell, the symbol of the Compostela Group of Universities, and a monetary prize of 6,000 euros (gross amount). If the Prize goes to a legal entity of public nature, the economic amount of the prize must be donated to a non-profit organisation.

All the information about the XXIII International Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia is available at the page of this permanent activity of the CGU.
